VLESS is a protocol for encrypted communications that is used by V2Ray, a popular open-source proxy software. VLESS is designed to be a more secure and efficient alternative to VMess. VLESS is a user control protocol for client-server authentication/communication and does NOT work without any other encryption method like TLS. It uses the same technology as VMess, but with a simplified and more efficient design.
VLESS includes both inbound and outbound proxy, and depends on system time. To use VLESS, the client and the server must have a shared secret key, which is used to authenticate and encrypt the data. VLESS also supports features such as traffic shaping, data obfuscation, and network monitoring.
